We had a misunderstanding today that was thankfully an easy fix but it may not have been if it happened during the week when we were busier. So, I just wanted to go over with everyone the correct procedure of booking the multipurpose room. We had an instructor that thought he booked the multipurpose room for his spanish prep session, but instead was put in a study room.
When booking rooms, make sure you get all the information and that you and the person are both clear on what room they are wanting to book. Its a good idea to repeat back to them what you have just done, for example saying, "I have you down for 12/4 at 6pm-8pm in study room 225". That way, if the time or even the room is a mistake it can be fixed at that moment.
Since you do not have access to book the multipurpose room, if someone requests this room get more information about this person. If they are a student and in an organization, they need to submit a request online through Orgsync and they will be contacted through email about the reservation.
If it is a professor, instructor, or staff member wanting the room then either, Kim, Kym, Kortney, or myself can make that reservation for them.
Also, regarding a different topic, if a situation arises with a laptop, please do not discharge the laptop without first speaking to a supervisor so that we can follow the appropriate steps for that particular situation.
Thank you!
