We have had 3 people just this week ask if they can use the MP room real fast to practice a speech. I understand that students are panicking because they need to get last minute things done for finals, but unfortunately, we cannot start letting people use that room for that reason since that is not what it is intended for. If we let one, we will have 10 more that will need it.
So if this happens, just politely explain to them why you cannot, and check to see if there is a spot open in the practice presentation room. If not, I have been suggesting to them to try humanities, sometimes on the upper levels there are quiet places.
