In a little over a week, finals will be over! Since there are a number of you who are new, and we all could use a refresher, here is how All Night Study works. Starting Thursday, we switch to a completely different work schedule. The library will be open Thursday morning and not close again until Saturday night at 10PM. We open back up at 10AM Sunday morning and do not close again until 2AM Tuesday Night/Wednesday morning. During the 4 nights we are open, an officer will be staying with the overnight crew to ensure a safe place to study. We will NOT be having people sign in or show their Texan cards upon entrance. As you can see, there are a LOT of hours in which only one person is here.
If you are working an overnight shift... Thank You! The only task you need to do is to make sure the walkthrough count gets done each hour. This is super important as its used by Admin to see if we should continue to be open all night (its the reason we close at 2AM Wednesday morning... no one was coming in). Be sure to bring something to work on/ watch/ keep yourself awake with. Sirsi gets logged off at 2AM with only laptop chargers getting checked out between 2AM-7AM (If anyone needs to check anything out, use a handcheck form. If you need a reminder on what this is, talk to Jacob or Brandon). Once 12:30AM hits, Room 159 and 160 go first come, first served until 7:30AM (Be sure the person in there last turns in the clipboard before Sirsi gets logged off).
Overnight crew, please get to your shifts on time, especially if you take over at 4AM. If something happens and your replacement does not show up, contact Jacob.
Good luck with your finals! And if you haven't already, please get your spring schedule to us ASAP.
Last note: We've been asked to track the number of people in the MPR each hour 11/29-11/30 as well as how many people are interacting with the three puzzles on each floor of the library (starting 11/20 and ending 12/7). Please make sure these are getting marked down on the walkthrough document.
