Some issues have come up in the dress code that need to be addressed. This department is the first area that is seen when a patron enters the building. Although it may be cold/hot, I need each of you dress appropriately for work. You are the most visible student workers in the library and as such it is necessary for you to represent the library in a positive, professional way.
1. Sweatpants/shorts are not appropriate for working in a public area of the library.
2. Sports attire (such as windpants, running shorts, atheletic shorts, etc...) should not be worn in the area while on duty.
3. Jeans/shorts that have holes should not be worn.
4. Shorts/pants that are to low at the waist should not be worn.
5. Shorts that are shorter than fingertip length should not be worn. If in doubt, don't wear them.
If you have questions, see a supervisor. Let us set the standard for the library!
