There has been a lot of grumbling about the new printing policy that will begin June 1. It is NOT a library initiative; it is a CAMPUS wide initiative. Many people believe that it is coming from the library; it is not! While on the clock, please follow the university policies and respond to questions with the FAQs that you read and signed.
Also, there have been excessive absences and late arrivals lately. If you are truly ill and especially if you feel that you may be contagious, please stay home. I worked from 10:30-1:00 by myself Monday -- I do not mind working the desk and both people scheduled to work were legitimately sick. BUT... if you just have a headache or you need to study for a test or didn't get your paper written is no excuse to not come in to work.
Your school work is your priority, and if work is interfering with that process you may need to cut back on some of your hours. We rely on each of you to be here at your assigned time to work. If you feel that you need to cut back on your hours, let's do it now so I can either hire someone else or rework the schedule, and it will keep you from getting written up.
