Hello Everyone,
Please notice that there have been some changes made when
books are being checked in. You all will notice some books will be marked as
“display.” When the “display” books are returned look at the display status
that shows up in Sirsi after the item is scanned. You all need to
carefully check the screen after every item discharge. Then you will need to
place the books marked display on Crystal’s desk with a note explaining
that it is a display book. Crystal will then be able to change their
location. If you are not certain about a book, please ask one of the
supervisors and they can help you. We all need to work together to efficiently
help Crystal with the displays. If you have any questions, please let me know.

After discussing it with Jodie, we have decided to bring
back the New Books on display. This will be a temporary fixture until the
learning commons is complete and we know what spaces are available. New Books
will be marked as "display" and will be out for checkout/viewing on
the table located behind the information desk on the third level. We are hoping
this will help get our new books better circulated. I'm hoping to get them
changed out on a regular basis depending on how often the new books are
completed. If you have any suggestions/questions, please feel free to contact
me.
