ILL Overview

I wanted to go ahead and clarify further what services Interlibrary Loan does offer patrons.  When a patron joins the friends of the library, they have the ability to borrow up to five Dick Smith Library items.  These can be any regularly circulating items (e.g. books, DVDs, audiobooks, etc).  That's the only borrowing privilege the membership gets them.

If the patron pays the full membership rate of $40.00 or more, not the cheaper recent alumni rate, they have the right to a second friends card for a family member.

They do not receive access to ILL.  They also do not receive access to online databases.  Due to licensing agreements, only current students and faculty/staff can use databases off campus.  The public only have access if they are on computers here in the library, which are authenticated by our server.

If you have any questions let me know!
