Library Supplies

I want to clarify what supplies are available to patrons.  A patron came to the desk this afternoon asking to use our label maker again, and was surprised when I turned him down.  This is a supply we use for organizing information internally and the tape can be quite expensive.

Essentially, the supplies students are welcome to are already out for their use.  Staplers and tape are available in each of the copy centers.  If they need a paper clip and we have some in the drawer at the Circulation Desk, that's ok to give out.  If they have a need beyond this, they need to look in the supply vending machine.

Examples of things we do NOT provide students:
  • Envelopes
  • Full sheets of blank printer paper
  • Labels
  • Glue
  • Bull dog clips
  • Post-its
If you are unsure if you can offer something, let the patron know that you will check if we have something available and come ask me.  It's better to play ignorant than say we have something, ask me, and then have to say we don't provide it to students.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Kym
