    Since it is summer time and people are usually out and about doing more active things, I wanted to give you all a little information about the GoPro cameras that are available for checkout. The Maker Spot has 3 GoPro action cameras that can be checked out through the Maker Spot. The checkouts are for 7 days and they are able to be renewed unless someone else has a hold on it. Patrons can only check out at the GoPro’s at the Maker Spot Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. However, if necessary, they can return it to the circulation desk. Please make sure all parts are there before letting the person leave and discharging it. The black folder by the "Maker Spot Returns" bin will tell you all the parts.

The Cameras have a high-resolution 1080p video or 12MP photographs. The checkout pack comes with: the camera, which is inside a waterproof case (yes, the camera can be used for filming underwater, as long as it is inside the waterproof case!), USB cord for charging and uploading video’s, and an extra battery. Along with the GoPro camera, patrons can also check out a mount that lets the user attach the camera to objects or to their body for easy filming. The mounts that are available for checkout include:

• Chest Mount (Great for if the person needs their hands free)
• Hat/Head Strap Mount (Great for point of view shots and being about to move around freely)
• Strap Mount for arms and legs
• Floating Hand Grip mount (Great for underwater shots incase you let go of the grip it will float to the top)
• Pole Mount
• 3-Way Adjustable Mount
• Music Mount (Great for musicians, they can strap it on their guitars.)
