IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! PROCEDURE CHANGE

Starting Monday, February 18th, we will no longer be doing shelf reading!

Again... NO MORE SHELF READING!!!

Because the iPad helps you shelf read while you do inventory, we have decided to do away with it and focus more on other tasks.

Now, it is VERY important that when you are doing inventory, you pay more attention to the error messages the iPad gives you as you are scanning.  BUT REMEMBER, the iPad CAN be wrong if the information was inputted incorrectly into the system.  Therefore, if you have an error message that pops up and you can't figure it out on your own, PLEASE let a supervisor know.  If a books is mishelved/misplaced that book is basically lost.

Again, this change is being done so that we can focus more on dusting.  With the rainy season coming up, the chance for mold and pests increases up in the stacks.  It is VERY IMPORTANT that when you dust you are checking the books.

Finally, let this be a friendly reminder that we DO keep track of what tasks you guys are and are not doing.  You should be rotating through the three tasks (Dusting, Inventory, and Fronting) every time you go upstairs unless there is shelving to be done or you are given a project by one of the supervisors.
