Lower Level Changes!

Welcome back to those of you who were gone during interim.  Thanks to those who stayed, we were able to get a lot of things done during the break that everyone needs to know.

The lower level has completely changed during the break.  Nothing is where it used to be, so be aware of that when you are shelving, helping patrons find something, or directing patrons where to go.

First and foremost, all of the children's books have been shifted!  They now follow the same flow as the books upstairs and the books have been given more room instead of being jammed on the shelves.

Second, the curriculum workroom has been finalized!  This room now houses the die-cuts, K-12 textbooks, large KIK scanner, and models all in one location.

When it comes to the textbooks, the top 4 rows of shelves contain the teacher's editions.  The student editions for most textbooks are located below, on the bottom shelf.

Next, the AV collection has moved and is located right next to the children's books.  This includes the audio books, movies, and CDs.  HOWEVER, PLEASE REMEMBER the records have been moved to offsite!

Finally, where the AV collection used to be (across from the PPR) we have a new collection of reference books that all pertain to law or codes.  These books are to remain in the library and cannot be checked out... So if you get a giant book pertaining to some form of law or codes and Sirsi won't let you check it out, its from this collection.  (The call number also has REF at the top and a huge sticker in the front cover saying its for reference as well).

If you have any questions about these changes, please ask!
