Laminating info:
1. Laminating is always billed to the laminating account. We take cash or Texan Bucks, and a departmental transfer if it is a campus department.
2. Laminating cannot be done on the fly. It takes at least 30 minutes for the laminator to heat up.It cannot be forced to heat up any faster.
3. To pick up laminating the same day -- the project must be brought to us before noon. Otherwise it will not be ready until the next day by noon.
4, Please have the patron fill out the laminating form completely, and then you fill out your portion.
Paying bills
1. When taking a payment remember to write the amount that they paid (which should be the amount that they owe unless they are making a partial payment) on the receipt.
Example:
Someone has a $2. 37 3-D print job. They give you $3.02 (because they don't want pennies back). They are paying the entire fine, so you would write $2.37 on the receipt -- NOT $3.02. We only want what they are actually paying for the fine.
2. Please write your initials on the receipt so Ginger and I can read it. We will eventually learn your style of writing, but until then write so we can read. :)
3. We never bill patron accounts for faxing or laminating.
4. Any bills that come from the Maker Spot will already be on their account. You should NEVER bill a patron account for anything.
Room Reservations
1. Get all of their information. If they are reserving to study with a group put study group in the group name spot.
2. We can only reserve for 4 hours for study rooms, and 2 hours for Practice Presentation Room.
3. If they want to reserve a room for after midnight, you must go to the next day to reserve it. Also, all reservations need to end at 11:45 pm and then start again at midnight the next day.
4. Patrons can only book 4 reservations at a time.
5. If they are not affiliated with the university they must talk to Kym or I.
