Walkie-Talkies

Recently, some of you have been forgetting to take a walkie-talkie upstairs with you. It is important that you take a walkie-talkie with you, in case we need to get in touch with you or there is an emergency. When you take the walkie-talkie, you need to log the walkie-talkie number, the date, and time you checked it out.

When you bring it back to the desk, you need to log the walkie-talkie as returned. Consistently marking the walkie returned will help prevent walkie-talkies from being left upstairs. When you go to mark it as returned and realize you don’t have it with you, you will know to go back upstairs and find it. Forgetting to sign the walkie-talkie back in means it could be hours before someone notices the walkie is missing and by then it could be stolen.

With all of this said, these steps will help increase communication with each other, anyone working the circulation desk, and the information desk. This will also help protect a valuable piece of work equipment. If you have any questions, please talk to one of your supervisors.

Thanks,

Clay
