Some Common Problems Lately

Hello everyone,

Several things have been happening lately that need to be addressed.

First, please be sure to print the gate count in landscape format. By doing this, it will be easier to read and you will not have to twist the book around to read it.

Next, some of you have been misplacing the "laptop in use" forms with the "discharged completed" forms; this has been causing other student workers to not be able to find the correct sheet when they are discharging a laptop. We need to stay on track and not cause a patron to get upset, or have confusion going on among your fellow student workers.

Also, when you run out of your regular flags, you can use the flags in the red bag with the clear front to mark your initials with a Vis-à-vis marker. Once again do not use permanent markers on the blank flags, or the flags with someone’s initials already printed on the paper. Please do not clip or cut-off the flags with our current student’s initials already printed on them; this has been happening too frequently. The flags you can cut off are the flags in the red bag with the clear front, which are from past student workers.

Lastly, when you do write anything on the flags please be sure to use the green markers labeled Vis-à-vis. These are washable markers and will allow us to reuse the flags. Do not leave the Vis-à-vis markers lying around, because these are important markers that we do not want to accidently get lost. Please place the Vis-à-vis makers back into the bag with the blank flags in the red bag.

If you have any questions feel free to come and ask any of the supervisors.
