Meeting rooms, study rooms, and practice presentation room -- rules and procedures

Hey guys! I just wanted to remind everyone about room reservations. We all need to be on the same page and telling everyone the same thing when it comes to the room reservations.

Multipurpose room

Which staff members can input a MP reservation in the system?

Kortney Cox
Kim Gragg
Kym Schow
Ginger Cousins
Jennifer Barrera
Kelsie Tobin

What is needed to reserve the MP room?

If a student organization wants to reserve the MP room they must submit an activity permit through Texan Sync and once it is approved then they will receive a confirmation email from Kortney or Kim.

Study/Meeting Rooms (Rooms 225, 231)

Which staff members can input a Meeting/study room reservation in the system?

Circulation student workers and the staff members on the list above.

Who can reserve a study/meeting room?

Students, faculty, and staff can reserve a meeting room. If the reservation is for an organization meeting it must have an activity permit to go along with the reservation.

How long can a study/meeting room be reserved?

They can only be reserved for 4 hours.

Practice Presentation Room

Who can input a reservation for the PPR?

Circulation student workers and staff members on the list above.

How long is a PPR reservation?

The PPR can only be reserved for 2 hours. They must be using it to practice a presentation; it cannot be used for studying, or they will be asked to leave.

You may have some patrons get unhappy with you, but feel free to explain that these are the rules that we follow. If they need to speak to a supervisor, please give them mine or Ginger's information and we will be happy to speak to them.
