I just wanted to remind everyone of some of the polices of the Circulation Department.
- No cell phone at the front desk. If you have to make an urgent call, speak to one of the supervisors and step away from the area.
- Please do not allow your friends to hang out at the circulation desk. People will hesitate to come to the desk because they think that you are helping someone. Tell them hello, and send them on their way, or I will ask them to leave. Whichever is easiest for you. :) This also means student workers who may be visiting or waiting to clock in/out.
- Limit your internet usage at Circ1 and Circ2. Meaning.... no shopping, viewing videos, no games, facebook, no Blackboard, etc... You may check your email, check your paystub, view the Tarleton website, and occasional weather. We cannot lose Circ1 and Circ2 because of a virus.
- You do get breaks. If you work at least 4 hours you get a 15 minute break. If you work 5 or more hours you get a 30 minute break or two 15 minute breaks at least 2 hours apart. If you are the only student worker and need a break Ginger and I are happy to help watch the desk so you can take one.
Now because we really want you to read the blog to keep up with what's going on, we are asking that everyone that reads the blog to make a comment -- really just type in your name in the comment section.
Thank you!
Kimberly
