Multi-purpose Room Bag/ Room Reservations/Color printer

Multi-Purpose Room
We now have a bag to be checked out for the multipurpose room. It is required for every reservation. It has the same items as the practice presentation room bag-- 2 dry erase markers and a remote. When you check it out to them it will show a due date as the next day (similar to the dry erase markers.) However, it is due after they leave the room.

Room Reservations
We had a room scheduling conflict yesterday where a patron thought she had the room longer for what it was booked for in the system. She said she had called and verified the time, but in the system we showed her reservation ending and another one beginning. Since it was unclear if it was our fault or not, I went ahead and put the second patron and her group in the practice presentation room. (We only do this in special situations). I just wanted to reminder everyone to make sure we are being very careful when we make reservations that we repeat the date and time back to the patron after we make the room reservation so that if we did put it in the system wrong then we can fix it at that time.

Color Printer
As always, if you get any printer questions direct them to the reference desk. But, for just general knowledge, the upper level color printer has been relocated to the learning commons copy center, (main level behind study grounds café). The color printer that was in that level is currently broken so it is gone. Because of this, it may confuse patrons if they try to print from their laptop because if they  choose "Lib-Main-Color" it will not print, they would need to choose "Lib-Upper-Color". However,  it is always best for patrons to never choose a printer when printing from their laptop. It will make their life so much easier if they just upload their document (they do not have to push print or choose a printer) and then go to the printer and slide their card.

Thanks!
