As we begin the last few days of classes and look towards All Night Study, I wanted to give everyone a few reminders as we finish out the semester.
First, please be vigilant the next few days with LibCal and room reservations. Until Thursday when all study and collaboration rooms become first come first served (YES!), please make sure you are marking who is here and canceling those who do not show up in thirty minutes. People are going to be desperate to get into the reservable rooms so we will most likely be kicking a lot of people out.
Now for those who haven't been with us or need a reminder, All Night Study starts this Thursday (the 2nd)! For almost a week, the library will be open 24 hours a day. (We do close Saturday night at 10PM and open back up at Noon on Sunday.) Starting at 11:30PM, a police officer and I will be signing students into the library using their TEXAN CARD.
From Midnight-2AM, business at the desk will run normally. However, starting at 2AM, the computers at the desk will need to be logged out of workflows and then signed out of windows altogether. The only service that we will be doing after 2AM is markers and laptop chargers. You will need to do a handcheck form for these which can be found next to the computer monitors.
For those that are working overnight, thank you! You are allowed to do homework at the desk during those hours. Your task after Circ closes at 2AM is to aid the police officer in signing people in and out of the library while they are doing rounds and refilling the Keurig and coffee supplies. Remember, if they are coming right back, they don't need to sign out. If you are working an overnight shift, and your relief doesn't show up at 4AM, CALL ME! My number is in the Circ wiki and can also be found posted next to everyone's name tags!
Finally,
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR FINALS!
