Working in the circulation department is a big job! Our department is responsible for a huge collection of books and the upkeep as well as running the circulation desk -- a daunting task I know! We cannot fulfill our duties without our student workers. You all are much appreciated.
Thank you!
To get our work done there are certain policies that we follow.
1. Only one person at the desk -- even when the supervisor is on lunch or out of the building.
2. Do your fair share of work in the stacks. Yes, I know it's not fun, but it's your job.
3. Do NOT take your phone upstairs with you. There are 4-5 clocks upstairs for you to use.
4. Make sure you come in when you are supposed to unless you have called in sick or previously talked to a manager.
5. When going upstairs take the walkie talkie and the keys with you. It saves a lot of steps!
6. No doing homework while on the clock -- except for Saturdays.
7. When you are in the stacks make sure that you are doing your job and filling out the location stickers and project logs.
Students who have been here a long time... if I forgot something email me gragg@tarleton.edu.
You are important! You do make a difference!
