It's rare, but the Maker Spot does allow the public to print with their services. Remember that all Maker Spot bills are pre-loaded to the student's account (NEVER use "Billing a User" when processing Maker Spot payments). When a public patron (not student, faculty or staff) needs to pay a Maker Spot bill, the Maker Spot staff will bill the Printing account directly.
To access this account, go to Display User and search for PRINTING. You should then see a user account for printing, which is set up just like a student account. There should be a bill in the bills tab. Call Margie, Chris or the Maker Spot to verify that the bill sitting on the account is for the patron standing in front of you. It is possible that we could have more than one public print job at a time, and one hasn't been billed yet, so do not assume that the bill is correct. Once you verify that the bill matches the user, go ahead and process the payment as usual.
Please feel free to questions if you are confused!
Kym
