Blood Drive 6/21

In case you are interested, there is a blood drive coming up soon that the  Dick Smith Library is sponsoring. Below you will find more information about it.

This website has some great tips to read to make sure you take care of yourself before giving blood such as eating at least 3 hours before, being hydrated, and getting rest the night before. I also found it fascinating to learn that you should not chew gum, mints, or candy before donating because it makes the temperature in your mouth go up, which could make it seem like you have a fever and make you ineligible to give blood.
