I know that it's been really slow at the front desks but busier in other areas. I just want to thank you for all of your hard work with pulling books and manning the desk while supervisors have been working in the stacks. So, thank you, thank you, thank you for supporting us during all of this.
I also want to reiterate what Ginger posted earlier about the Silverfish books. On 2-3 different occasions we have found Silverfish damaged books on the cart to be sorted. If you notice a book that has damage -- either Silverfish or mold -- please give it to a supervisor.
Things to remember:
1. If someone turns in a wallet to the lost and found, please accept it. Precious items like wallets, jewelry, and personal documents will get turned in to the Police department.
2. Don't make change for anyone at the desk unless they need to make copies or get an item from the supply vending machine, or they need a smaller bill to add money to the Texan Card at the kiosk. You can break bills if the are paying a fine. If you are unsure ask a supervisor.
3. It's summer and everyone wants to have a little fun. If you are wanting to take some time off, please let us know as soon as possible.
