New Writing Center Hours

We have received a lot of questions concerning the Writing Center since they have extended their hours, so I wanted to share this message with you all so that you can be informed on their new hours.

The University Writing Center is happy to announce that we have extended our hours of availability. Just as before, we are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in room 239 of the O. A. Grant Humanities building.

Beginning this semester, however, we will also be available Monday through Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Dick Smith Library Learning Commons. For those not familiar with this space, the Writing Center in the Library is located right next to the Tech Spot desk – conveniently positioned near the student work stations, Study Grounds Café, and Tech Spot technical services. We hope that by offering availability in the evenings in the areas where students are already studying, researching, and writing, we will be able to provide even more effective tutorial service to the university.
